As Innovative Start-up Company, Demetra Group is always focused on improving and updating its technology, investing time and resources in its Research and Development activities.
In September 2016, in cooperation with SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland), a small-scale ADbag® pilot plant was installed in Tipperary to carry out tests and experiments in the production of biogas from whey and bovine sewage.
At the end of 2017, in cooperation with BIM (Bord Iascaigh Mhara), our ADbag® pilot plant moved to Donegal, in a fish processor site in Killybegs, where we fed the plant in separate and distinct trials with four different types of feedstock to fully capture each own specific implication. Trials and tests are still being effected; however, some goods results have been registered and will be published soon.
